About Motivated 4 LIFE
SOPHIA JOY The Power of Gods Word Hallelujah! God does not change. His Word is everlasting. It is the same yesterday, today and tomorrow. God is Jehovah Rapha, the One and only Healer of every part of mankind; spirit, soul and body. Our family has truly experienced the healing power of God. In July 2006, my wife and I were pregnant with our third child, a little girl. We enjoyed a healthy pregnancy up to the seventh month. My wife began to suffer with pregnancy induced carpel tunnel, and gained nearly 30 lbs in two weeks with increased blood pressure. The doctors closely monitored her for pre-clampsia. One sleepless night, as Cassy watched Christian television, she was introduced to the miracle-working power of the Apostle Paul through the means of prayer cloths. She knew she needed to connect with the healing power of God through a prayer cloth offered through this ministry. (Acts 19). Cassy was never able to request a prayer cloth due to premature labor the next day. During the delivery, my wife's placenta separated from the uterus and our baby's oxygen supply was brought to a halt for thirty minutes. Sophia Joy was pronounced dead on arrival. The neo-care staff responded immediately. During resuscitation, Sophia's lung was perforated and then rushed to the neo-care unit to receive emergency care. Over a period of hours we were finally allowed to see her. Her prognosis was not favorable. Her brain activity was restricted and she was completely dependent on the machines for her sustenance of life. As we stood over our little four and half pound baby resting in the middle of monitors, wires, and tubes, the faith of Jesus rose up within us. We chose to put ourselves in agreement with His word and not with the world's diagnosis. It was one of the most difficult challenges we had ever been faced with. Although, we were not allowed to touch her, we spoke the living and healing Word of God in her little lifeless body. We declared, "You shall not die, but live and declare the works of the LORD." Psalms 118:17. "With long life shall He satisfy you and show you His salvation." Psalms 91:16. "He sent His word and healed you and delivered you from your destruction." Psalms 107:20. By faith, we took back that which the enemy was seeking to steal, kill and destroy. The next day the neonatologist reported our baby would live, but would be faced with several major health problems. The Spirit wielded the Word of God deep within Cassy's spirit, "No weapon formed against you shall prosper, and every tongue that rises up against you in judgment shall be condemned." Isaiah 54:17. My wife declared aloud, "I don't receive this in the Name of Jesus." The Lord showed us that Sophia's healing began to manifest at the moment we agreed with His word and chose not to receive the diagnosis. This same day, Cassy's sister came to visit at the hospital and brought an anointed prayer cloth. The Lord had met her desire for a prayer cloth and we sensed His healing anointing on the cloth. By faith, we believed this cloth was a point of contact with the power of God. "And God did unusual and extraordinary miracles by the hands of Paul, So that handkerchiefs or towels or aprons which had touched his skin were carried away and put upon the sick, and their diseases left them and the evil spirits came out of them." Acts 19:11,12 My wife placed the cloth in the pocket of her gown and carried it to Sophia each time she visited. When she was allowed to touch Sophia she would rub the cloth on her little body. We continued to speak the Word and offer thanksgiving and praise for the manifestation of healing, although we had not yet seen it with our eyes. There was no need to continue to ask for healing, because it was already provided on the cross. God completed His part, now we would demonstrate our faith in Him through our position of thanksgiving and worship. After three days, Sophia's perforated lung healed, she began to eat on her own, and her diagnosis began to improve greatly. Each day another tube, wire or monitor was removed. She began to gain weight and was very alert. Her brain activity was completely restored. The neonatalogist and staff were amazed at her recovery. They called her a "Super Baby", "Miracle Baby" and "Ridiculous". She was a "Superbaby"! It was God's "Super" on her "natural". She defied her initial seven week stay and was released after one week. Sophia Joy is almost 3 ½ years old and has no major health concerns. She has been evaluated and excelled in various areas of development. She is full of life and truly a "joy". The hospital officials attribute her miraculous healing to God. He is worthy of all our praise! He is no respecter of persons. What He did for us He will do for anyone. He will do it for you! (Acts 10:34) All He asks of you is to believe Him, trust Him and expect from Him. He longs to lavish His goodness and mercy on you. He has already given you everything...He gave you his Son, Jesus.
